I have one Netgear PTV3000 adapter and the phone does not connect to it. And does not connect to any other devices, like TV, with wifi direct.

Something wrong with Wifi Direct app, or the Screen mirroring app?

Problem was solved partially. I updated the adaptor sofware, and is almost OK. Its wery laggish but it works. But the video mirrorimg is wery good, laggless.

Question: if the screen on phone is 720p, the mirror on Full HD tv is what 720p or 1080p? I mean if I mirroring the 1080p video, filmed with my phone.

I updated the Netgear PTV3000 to the newest one 2.2.15. Is that the one you have? Still lags and freezes badly though but connects no problem. I believe it will be mirrored in 720p. The Xperia Z does 1080p.

BTW, I emailed Sony about the lag/freeze problem as it is a Jelly Bean issue. My girlfriends Galaxy S3 works flawlessly with the PTV3000 why can't the Xperia T, a device that is mentioned and even pictured on Netgear's website.

I don't know if screen mirroring always uses the same resolution or if it depends on the device. I'll see if i can get any information about this but you should be able to see what resolution that is used on the TV if you press "OK", "Info" or similar.

If you get poor performance, see if you can switch the PTV3000 to 5GHz only and see if it helps. According to http://www.netgear.com/home/products/hometheater/media-players/PTV3000.aspx#two it should support 5Ghz. Also try turning off other wireless devices nearby and see if it helps.
