charging problem

I recently bought a xperia z....nd nw m facing a problem......first of all its gives a poor battery backup..... Secondly during charging it, after half an hour of charging the red LED turns violet nd the charging almost stops..... Am not understanding the reason....neither the stamina mode working ....

plz help me

I suspect you have an app interfering with the normal function of the device - uninstall all the useless stuff you put on there including task/memory/cpu/gpu managers and any antivirus and battery managers

if that doesn't work do an update repair using PCC and check to see if working - remember to do a backup of your data before starting the repair, also remove external SD Card if installed

and remember not to install any off the offending software again - the above mentioned will cause more problems than they claim to resolve

thanks GeoffH.... but i did a master reset and still the problem continues..........my mobile is empty with no apps installed.......is there any problem with chager may b due to prolonged heating??? but if it is so then why does the LED turns violet??????

When you say master reset what exactly do you mean

Above I suggested update repair through PC Companion - check for updates then - repair my phone

also does this charging issue happen when charging connected to PC via USB ?

If you have ruled out and done all the above then -

I don't know the answer but as you have exausted everything that we can think of here maybe it's time to seek support from a Sony service center or return to the retailer that supplied the phone
