If it worked fine before, it actually sounds more like the car audio system isn't compatible with Android JellyBean/4.1.

Hello,

I've just upgraded my Xperia T to 9.1.A.1.140 and connection with bluetooh audio car doesn't work fine: it's loosing the connection with the car every minute or two minutes. The car is a WW Golf VI and my Xperia T had perfect connection using previous android version, I mean with the android version when I bought the phone (I've upgraded it twice).

There is many people with the same problem, so there is a problem with Bluetooh audio car connection, please Xperia T Support could you investigate that and release a patch?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Javier.

It's a normal bluetooth car audio system, so it's a shame that Jelly Bean is not compatible with previous versions in audio bluetooth connection.

What can I do? I need BT connection with the car.

Thanks in advance.

I have to agree with Javier, I have been having the smae problems since I got the phone back in February and was told that:

"Unfortunately we are unable to confirm the reason why your Sony Xperia T will not connect to your Audi in car system as we do not test our handset's with third party hardware.

As we cannot confirm the reason for this lack of compatibility we are unable to support any troubleshooting with regards to this lack of connection. A software repair is advised to make sure that the issue is not caused by a glitch with the handset's operating system.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause"

This is not an acceptable response which surmounts to: we don't know why its not working, it's your car's fault, try resetting it but if that doesn't work then you'll have to put up with it.

Sony is such a large technology company that I'm sure if you put your minds to it you could figure out how to fix your bluetooth system in this particular series of smartphones that did work with previous models like the C902 and Xperia X10 mini pro for extremely major and popular car companies such as BMW and Audi.

I think all of your customers are due a response as this is simply not acceptable and shows extremely shoddy customer service on Sony's part.

P.S. I also notice no answer has been sent to Javier AGP since the 21st of April this year!

I didn't find a thread about Xperia TL USB problems, so I thought I would post here. I have a one week old Xperia TL, also known as LT30 and its build is 9.1.F.1.120. The Android version is 4.1.2. On day one, I found it wouldn't charge through the USB port in my Mazda6 2014 model. It also won't play music via USB through the Mazda car audio system. I called AT&T, who called Sony while I held, and the answer was "you can only charge and play music from Apple products via USB." The charging bit is incorrect, because I did a Gracenote software update on the car and the charging now works. I haven't resolved the music playback and I would be interested to hear any suggestions from Xperia support. There is a second minor issue with the Bluetooth hands free. When the Xperia TL is connected by Bluetooth with a fully charged phone battery, the Mazda car display shows only 50% battery level. The phone signal strength displays correctly. I also have an older Nokia 6650, which displays correct battery and signal level in the Mazda. My wife's iPhone 4 also displays correct battery and signal level in the Mazda. So what's wrong with the Xperia TL?

I would say its a compatibility issue (usb cable) and perhaps the same goes for your bluetooth. you should check the compatibility with your car

http://mazdaca.johnson-rauhoff.com/index.php?page=find&do=matrix&ln=en&type=reg&model=Mazda6&year=2014%0D%0A&vehicle_id=932&device_type=phone&manufacturer=178

Excellent information from uliwooly. Your chart does confirm that phone battery level should work via Bluetooth on the car display. They must have fixed a few bugs since that list was issued, because I get SMS notification and I can also see song information, both on Bluetooth. I don't know about email, because I haven't set that up yet. I don't see any reference to the USB music playback feature.

Maybe on the next Xperia software update, there might be a fix for Bluetooth to show the correct battery level and for USB music playback.

Thanks

Archie

Stroudsburg PA
