Sony Xperia Z shut off itself

Hi,

I've already updated my phone to latest firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253 on 17/5/2013 via Sony companian.I experienced my phone shutdown by itself on 25/5/2013.Even though i pressed power button the phone cannot ON,I made a reset by pressing power button+vol then phone able to switch ON.

May I know why this problem still persist?

Is there any Sony Support guys can answer this?Come on guys

Did you reset your phone after the update? If not, you should give it a try. Let me know the results.

Dear Samuel,

After update the firmware,I did restart the phone.On 27/5/2013,once again my Hp unable to ON during I pressed power button as usual to wake up the screen.

After that, I unmount my sdcard from the phone.I am using 'sandisk SDHC 4' card.Is the 'SDHC' card contribute to this problem?

A restart yes, but I meant a reset. Settings > Backup and reset > Reset. Just make sure you've backed up everything you want to save!

The SD card shouldn't cause any issues. SDHC just stands for Secure Digital High Capacity, which means all SD cards 4-32GB. 4 stands for class 4, which is minimum 4mb/s read/write speed.

Dear Samuel,

I've already reset my hp on 28/5/2013,since that day until 30/5/2013,my hp never having problem with shutdown.

What caused to this problem before?

But I noticed that was my android system running more power than screen.

Why there is a straight lines there?

Pls refer as attached.

Might be some app acting up. Just try to restart the phone and it should work as intended.

Dear Samuel & all Sony Technical support,

On 3/6/2013,once again my hp screen shut off & cannot ON even I've press power button like usual to wake up the screen,this is 3rd time it's happened on 25/5&27/5.

I made a reset by pressing power button+vol then phone able to switch ON.

I didn't install any harm apps that not from market

Each times this issue happened,the 'trending' for battery is always look as attached pic.The hp will feel hot too.

May I know why this problem still........................ persist?

Sony guys....kindly need your technical assist

remove the SD card and micro SIM card, w/o both cards > restart your phone and try to use without it, the issue might be a faulty SIM card or SD card

my phone just started shutting itself off and on today its done it more than 8 times in a row everything is up to date and yet its still does it how can i fix this

Hi @KOUX

First I suggest doing a backup of your device information: How to backup?

Then try performing a system repair using PC Companion. This will factory reset your phone and erase all data. You might need to
charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery. Make sure the device is not connected
to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3
times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device). Start PC
Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen
instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the
repair or reformat process. If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC
Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP.
