I have seen few threads regarding same problem on Xperia T/TX black color. I guess it depends on the uses( hand sweat , environment exposure and maybe unit(s) manufacturing problem). it has been the consideration factor when choosing between black and white, white will have smooth finish free of rubber but with chrome bezel risk of tear and wear. Black bezel is rather safe but with rubber back prone for wear. I guess u would have to find replacement or use a case or cover to prevent further spread of the tear. its just my personal opinion. Or go back to sony store and see what they can do
