Hi guys from Sony, please reed this and escalate It:

We need the promised update that was suposed to come shortly after the Xperia Z launching in Sony's words.

Here you have the bugs's list I found:

- Poor camera performance an very slow launching of the app when you press the icon.

- Overheating (maybe in winter could be a plus, but at the moment is not funny)

- Lag, very laggy, come on! quad quore and 2gb ram??? the firmare needs optimization.

- Battery drain

- Leds in stamina mode don't work

Please let the people encharged of these matters know

This launching It's being glorius, any information about when aour Xperia Z will be a good smartphone??? Please, Sony guys don't answer the same: "We don't have that information, all the news will be posted in our blog"

I agree with you. Cant wait to download promised update. This phone has a lot of bugs at the moment. Not good image for Hi-range phone from Sony.

There have been many threads already expressing people's interested on bringing 4.2.2 to the Xperia Z series but as yet, SONY haven't and it's not hard to figure out why with some common sense. They're most likely polishing 4.2.2 and getting the most out of the update to make sure when customers finally have it available for download, bugs and glitches won't appear and hinder their handsets useless. I'd rather SONY take their time and do it right then rush us out an update that really isn't going to do much for us anyway.

I can understand the frustration people feel as we were promised this update shortly after release but it's still only been a couple of months and I could wait another 1-2 without complaining, in which I am hoping they're fixing all the bugs and providing thier customers with the best experience possible.

Plus, 4.2.2 isn't going to solve the issues you've mentioned. It's the firmware updates your after. In which we have already recieved one and their obviously fully aware of the issues some customers are facing and doing their best to find solution/fix them and release the update when it's ready. Hopefully the next firmware update with come with many fixes customers have been requesting and we can all go back to not Hating on SONY.

Sorry, It was my frustration talking, I didn't realized I duplicated the post. The thing is that we really need an update as the device is not working as It should.

That's correct, we do need some fixes. But rushing an update is just going to lead to more problems. Please hold on while Sony polishes the next update and supplies us with fixes for previous known issues while not creating any more

Can you at least confirm if they are working on the update, keeping your customers in the dark all the time doesn't give them much faith and for quite a few will drive them to other brands who are quick with updates/fixes.

Someone within your company will know what's going on and since your customer facing you should be kept in the loop even if you have to be tight lipped with certain information.

germano, I agree with you except overheating problem.
For me personally it is not a problem. It is not that my Xperia Z is not getting hot, it is rather that I realize the only way to keep it less warm / colder, is to reduce clock speed. Is this really what you expect?? Because it is not possible to change inside parts already.

I am fine with the clock speed and would rather be happy if they could increase it a little bit - to about 1,7GHz instead of decreasing.
It is normal that the device is becoming hot when full load usage or charging. Please take into account that it is powered by one of the fastests processors available on the mobile market, htc one / one x for example is less powered and much hotter than Xperia Z for example.

People expect superfast phones in superslim cases, but cannot accept that it provides to some nasty side effects like heating problems.

Unfortunately there are some physical problems with materials that cannot be solved. At least at the moment.

I think that Sony is simply continuing its update policy:

1. They must wait until Samsung Galaxy S4 will arrive with its Android 4.2.2 out of the box.
2. They are waiting until every other manufacturer will deliver (or already delivered) Android 4.2.2.
3. Sony will deliver Android 4.2.2 after all other brands deliver Android 5.0. Please note they have to make sure to be always LAST on the market with OS updates. This is the key feature and most recognizable ailment of Xperia brand.

"I.beliebe" we will see Android 4.2.2 somewhere in march 2014, after a year since its release :smileygrin: I do not expect it earlier, only monitor the market to confirm if other already updated or not.

Please see what happened to Xperia S device - it "should" receive Android 4.1 Jellly Bean somewhere "end of May 2013" :smileygrin: The device was totally abandoned from almost a year, as 2012 flagship it received ICS as the last, and now will receive (if at all) 4.1 again as the last, after low end Xperia j, e or whatever they call it, :smileygrin:

The more wired is that Android 4.2.2 is still "jelly bean" it's not that it is brand new, totally different OS, it's rather battery and some other improvements, but not that much.

But, of course you can not get informed by Sony at least which month you will see the update or what is the status on the work. You can only see the blog :smileygrin: Do you see such a information on the blog? Any news on 4.2 for Xperia Z? For sure. Make believe!

Some things never change and must continue policy initiated by Xperia X10.

After experiencing how Sony treats its loyal customers who buys its most expensive, flagship devices - is anyone expecting that sony will treat Xperia Z users different when it comes to OS updates? Not me.

This would be my last Sony phone if they still not improving any issue we address.

At least a must for improving the camera as we all know it's the heavy compression issue.

Else, Sony would really lost some portion of market as consumer now a day are not as dumb as past. (LOL?).

yes indeed, they should focus on camera in capture better details, better color reproduction rather than comprise it into small size ( else why we need Memory card??):smileyshocked:, and rather than boots the image with BE2 which only appear better(?) on Z screen itself, when sharing to pc,tv or social web it looks different.:smileysad:

somemore we all know that iphone 5 use sony sensor but capture better image than Sony phone, that's quite a shame actually. Now the flagship(?) of Sony XZ still not capture a better image than I5, really sad.

I actually ok with all things in XZ except the camera (which it shouldn't work this bad).

Pray hard, hopefully camera can capture better quality and less compression (e.g. 5-6mb image).
