Dear Support Forum,

Few days back I have updated my xperia p 4.04 to 4.1.2. After Updating this frimware my device get lag in call log and also while scrolling the call log it gets struggle to scroll smoothly. I have made a issue report in google code page, I have received the following message.

This website is for developer issues with AOSP Android or Nexus devices. Your device is using Sony's version of Android. You got an update to your device from Sony. You need to speak to Sony for issues with their updates.

Have you tried resetting the phone after you updated? If not, I'd advise you to do so.

Hello,

I have a Xperia P and update it recently to jellybean.

I have the same problem.

First, I have updated my phone after a complete reset but call log scrolling and android starred contacts scrolling are not smooth, very laggy.

Second, I made a new complete reset because of Album app was not displaying my pictures (factory defaults & erase all data) but the problem is the same, scrolling call log and android starred contacts is jerky.

Contacts (I am using only google contacts) are OK...

same problem, after update Xperia P call lag, also its working really slow and i dont have anything installed except basic applications cause i just use it for music and conversations. It also happend to freeze few times and that never happend to me on the old software. Please provide us a fix cause im really dissapointed my phone was good with basic android i was really hapy with it, but now after update its crap, literally i like to keep my os with the latest update but thats the biggest failiture i ever had a chance to see/expirience!

Having the some problem over here...it's really annoying...I mean we have a phone but we can't use it as a phone because almost everytime I recieve a phone call it crashes over and over again when I recieve or do a phone call...hope you can do something quickly because I need to do some phone calls...sometimes and I need to use my phone like a normal phone like it was before the JB update please! I did factory reset once but then the problem came again some I'm really pissed off because of this...it's nonsense

Yes, same for me too. After update to JB. I cant receive the call when I slide the green button. It keep hanging about 5-15s, after that I can talk. I'm really disappointed.

One other bug: If you adjust brighness to maximum. Screen will display more red as normal. Yellow will be decreased. I dont know what is problem, hardware or software?

Adding exceptions in the Stamina Mode worked for me. Add the Basic Apps (including Contacts) as exception.

There is no improvement ...

Android Starred contacts are verry laggy...but call log is a little better...

Precision : I only use contacts from my Gmail account, there is no contacts on the sim / phone / any other exchange account...

Just make sure you restart your phone after adding everything. Another thing: Not every app I added it's necessary, but my phone seems to run better when leaving all those app's on.

Hi all, this trick don't work for me ...

I have installed Cyanogen Mod 9 (On ICS) and I have a real smooth smartphone.

I am really sorry for Sony Developpers, because a "small bug" put on the trashbin all the job they do 😞

It's my opinion of course ...

Édit : day after day my phone was slower than ever !

How did you root your phone on JB? And how did you install CM9?

Btw I found another working solution for dialer, just replace the original phonebook app with the xperia z's one.

Hi, jb runs really well, I think that's is the best smartphone 4inch(inclusive iphone 5), but sometimes apper the call lags and i have to restart the phone. I tried all the soluctions but until now nothing(SOMETIMES APPEAR THE CALL LAG). My phone is root ... I turned off the services that i do not use, it's very very smooth THANKS SONY. I am using to the android's sip client, because csip and voip stunt, create some problems like call lag. Shake call also have create the same problem. I use viper, whatsapp, facebook, sip call, google map, email ,,, all it's ok. In any case thanks sony for the jb implementation and waiting for an update ... im not in hurry, jb it's running very ok,
