microphone issue after camera use

Hey all,

i have a problem with making or taking calls after taking a picture or movie with the Xperia Z camera.

I can take or make the call, but the caller can't hear a word i'm saying, i can hear him fine.

After a phone reboot the issue is fixed til i use the camera again, pretty annoying.

Firmware is 101.A.1.434.

Is this a known bug and is there a fix?

Try turning off the noise suppression under Settings -> Call settings and see if that helps.

I read that hint before, but sadly even without the 'noise suppression' setting ticked OFF, i can not be heard in phone calls after using the camera 'til i reboot.

Have you installed any task killers,battery savers,antivirus and other apps like that?(as according to users like GeoofH and uliwooly they cause problems)

If yes uninstall these apps and see if this problem still persists

If no, i would first suggest rebooting your phone in safe mode (power + volume down button) and see if this persists

If after these two it doesn work i would suggest repairing it via sony update service

try going into settings - apps - all - scroll down to camera and clear the data the just below camera common - clear the data, see if that fixes it - if not scroll down to phone and clear the data there too - reboot each time
