Hello everyone

This is my first post, I have been searching for an answer to what seems a common problem. I have a Kenwood Bt60u with Parrot built in. I connect perfectly after the firmware update from Kenwood but when I make/receive a call I can hear the other person well throught the speakers but they cannot understand a word I say as I sound distorted. I used my old Sony Ericsson W995 on the Kenwood with no issues at all. Has anybody heard of any solutions for the microphone issue?

You've been waiting for a week and you have not received a response from sony though they know of the problem. And this it support forum, sony?

Yes, Some of the Xperia phones have problems with the bluetooth microphone. In my experience, the problem have something to do with automatic sensitivity adjustment of microfone. Maybe somewhere deep in radio baseband binaries.

You can test this: If you are talking in a low voice amplitude the other party can hear you, but if you raise your talking amplitude, it get distorted.

The problem comes up at a different level depending on the bluetooth device model. In my opinion, the more sensitive the microphone (a more expensive device) gives more distortion.

I use a cheap model Samsung HM1100. Its echo cancellation is terrible, but I can live with it.

You can find talkin on similar problems in here:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/404107#404107

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/364159#364159

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/337402#337402

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/309120#309120

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/310599#310599

http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/309163#309163
