Does anybody know, if this bug will be adressed in one of the comming firmware-updates? I need it for my telemetry device. Thanx.

I checked the specification and the phone does unfortunately not support SPP. It supports the following profiles:

Advanced Audio Distribution Profile v1.2

Audio/Video Remote Control Profile v1.0

Handsfree Profile v1.5

Headset Profile v1.1

Object Push Profile v1.1

Phonebook Access Profile v1.0

Really? Please ask your Developers, if this is true, and is there is an reason for. BT SPP or RFcomm is one of oldest und easiest BT profiles and a lot of devices (GPS, Sensors, health devices,arduino) are using this. I get the same answer with the active, but 2.3.4 did support it and 4.0.x didn't support it. The Phone could be paired, but then it asks for pin over and over again.
My information of our developers is, that it is/was a bug in the new BT google stack of 4.x which is solved with 4.2.2

A lot of devices are using a jy-mcu HC-06 BT chip/modul. So please contact your dev's. You don't want lose the health devices / arduino customers (blood pressure etc.), do you?

I checked the specification for our other products with ICS and SPP is not listed as a supported profile there either so i doubt there's an error in the specification for Xperia Go but i have forwarded this as feedback/suggestion.

If I remember correctly, for RFCOMM is not listed in the SDP by default. If you however create a Bluetooth rfcomm listener in Android with a custom UUID, you can connect to that service from another device using that UUID.
