most likely there are other apps running that are causing this, it could be that you are syncing or that you are downloading apps at the same time, there are myriad reasons, uninstall any

taskiller, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps > restart your phone and try again, also turn off your wifi

if you are syncing make sure to turn it off, that will help narrow down the issue.

this is not an issue - why do you think it is

in that area is the main board with a quad core state of the art cpu and gpu in there with a heatsink - of course it's going to get hot (but not burning hot) you might look on this device as a phone but we have evolved on from that - it's got more tech in there than your average laptop

Hello,

I have an Xperia Z1 compact and having the same problem. Moreover, the battery is depleting very quickly after the heating process. I have tried all your advices regarding restoring to factory settings or regarding apps, Wi-Fi etc that would drain the battery out. If I'm lucky, after a 100% charge, it would take half a day until the battery is dead. What advice do you have to resolve this problem? Should I replace the battery after all?

Thank you!

Gabriel

@Samuel wrote:

As posted earlier in the thread; it's normal.

The phone will get warm while using it.
