Failed registration - cure please

Recently got a reconditioned and guaranteed tipo dual. It fails to register a network with the message 'your card does not allow connection to this network'. I have tested both SIMs in other phones and they registered immediately. The phone also has problems reading an SD card. It has no problerms connecting to my network however. Reading other posts here, I gather that this phone has not been entirely fault-free. Nonetheless I'd appreciate views on whether the problems can be cured as, in theory, the phone meets my needs perfectly.

have you repair the phone with either PCC or SUS? it might be a hardware issue, you should test your phone with a brand new SIM card

Have tested with two SIM cards. And confirmed those cards work in Nokia and HTC phones. One card has only been used for a week so virtually new. By the way what does PCC mean? I guess that SUS means Software Update Service.

PCC = PC Companion

SUS = Sony Update Service

since you have a mac you can use Bridge

Thanks for the tip. After I discovered that I had to have an SD card installed for Bridge to work, I updated OK. My two network cards still don't register. One card is locked and the Tipo see the lock, asks me to unlock it and unlocks it OK. I assume this means that it is able to read the cards OK(?). I guess that there's not much else to do and I should return the phone to the vendor (who did offer a guarantee). Thanks again for the help.
