If the drive is formated as FAT32 and the phone doesn't detect the device probably there's something with the cable. Download the <A href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonymobile.androidapp.functiontester" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Xperia Function Tester</A> and test the USB OTG feature.
