I recommend that you try the phone with another type of memorycard and see if that works. The phone supports both microSD and microSDHC and class 10 but i think i've heard of problems when using this particular card before.

I had a similar problem with my Acro S even though it was only a few weeks old. It kept corrupting the SD card on power off, or if you tried to disconnect the SD card. After this happening about 5 times I returned it to the local service centre as suggested by support.

They opened it up, and apparently the reader had a very small amount of water damage that had caused the issue. I had been VERY careful with this phone, and it was only a few weeks old, but apparently I was told the warranty does NOT cover water damage! On a water-resistant phone!

As you can imagine I am not very impressed that a water-resistant phone is NOT covered by warranty if the water-resistance does not work and it gets wet inside. And how do you test it?!?

I had something similar after I transferred all my music files and photos to the (micro) SD card. The walkman couldn't 'see' the music and pictures weren't available. However I could navigate to the folders on the SD card using ASTRO file manager and I could actually play the mp3s singlely and view the pics that were apparently missing. The phone still wouldn't see those files other than through astro. So I took the card out, backed it up and formatted the card, a quick format then a slow format, took ages. I restored everything and the walkman found the music tracks and after I redesignated the camera to store, etc in the SD card that worked fine too. Seems to be working fine now. It could've been the phone, it could've been the way I did things when I first got it or even the SD card itself. I also had the feeling it was astro because I used that to move the files, then it was the only thing that could see them on the phone! In the early days when I got this phone I wasn't completely sure of how things should be and changed things after a few months. A good exercise in getting to know the phone though.
