I have the same problem with my Xperia V. I am using 2 phones and Xperia V is always a standby phone. After a morning for 4-5 hours standby, the battery gone half or even more. I really feel disappointed with the battery performance. I find there are always many apps running in the background. I tried to quit it and set it off if there is an option, but still. I just find no way to minimize or make these background apps under my control.

Hi there. I have been using my Xperia V for quite a while and some bugs have been bothering me. They have been there sincei bought this phone.

1. Poor battery life; Battery drains quite fast sometimes, even on standby

2. Usually after a week, mobile data cannot be used; the webpage is always in loading state. I have to turn the phone off and then on again before I can use mobile data again.

Software version 9.0.1.D.0.10

Are users of Xperia V experiencing the same problems? Share in this thread and share how you got over these problems if you solved them.

Have you tried repairing the phone software? If not, you should try it. Tried changing SIM-card? If the SIM-card is acting up and loses connection the phone will have to scan for network more frequent and therefor also drain more battery.

To Sony Xperia support,

I'd bought the Xperia V in Jan 2013 and faced the same problems as Samuel. Even worst is that the handset often switched off itself suddenly and I had to pull out the battery to restart the phone and this happens once in two days. I took the handset to your technique support service on Feb 15 for repair and your customer service told me that the handset had been fixed. Now, I just got the handset for 3 days but the problems still exist and even worst than before (switched off itself three times a day). You know this "self-switching off" thing had been very frustrated as I usually use the handset as a alarm for work.

So what should I do now, should i bring it to your CS again for fixing. This is the worst phone i have even have before.
