btw when i am not using the phone, i press the button on top lightly so that the screen blinks off - this does not shutdown the phone, but puts it in a kind of standby mode i think. that is the way it stays most of the day.

purchased december 2012.

battery was holding up for 4 days 2 weeks back.

i mainly use my phone to listen to music - to and fro from work. like 45 mins each. other than that i send a rare sms or make a call.

will check and let you know the android version. i have not upgraded it.

i mainly use poweramp music player. i seldom use anything else.

i charge it for like 4 hours or so. till the green light comes on - which i think means it is fully charged.

no heat experienced.

since it is only 3 months old i am reluctant to change battery before i can be sure it is a battery issue. i used to use my phone for alarm wake up. i read on the internet that that drains battery. so i dont use it for that anymore.

You cannot replace the Xperia GO battery. By attempting to do so you will: a) void the warranty and b) make the phone not water/dust proof anymore.

I'm amazed you used to be able to run it for 4 days! My GO lasts only one day since I purchased it about a month ago. Charging overnight is completely normal to me (just as it was with my Atrix 4G). I must add that I'm sort of a power user, with over 200 apps installed.

You may want to try an app like JuiceDefender, that will (among tons of other features) disable all conectivity when your screen is off. It's very efficient but it can cause lag when turning the phone back on.

What's your android version? Still on Gingerbread or did you update to Ice Cream Sandwich?

And I wait for it to get full in order to maximize charging.

Hope this helps.

as noted, i used it for like 45 minutes twice a day. that is like 1 1/2 hours per day.

four days, it is like 6 hours total.

so the battery used to last me for that duration earlier.
