I agree but there are myriad variables to make this happen, perhaps Sony should release a "Sony Nexus device"

2. if it's locked to a carrier it's up to the carrier not Sony

3. I agree, we need not just more mAh but better batteries

Hello!

I just wanted to share with the community my views on future Sony flagship phones and suggestions for them.

Latest version of Android. I know you Sony guys are working hard to release a 4.2 update for Xperia Z/ZL ASAP, but consumers like to have the latest OS running straight out of the box. Otherwise, it just doesn't feel so shiny anymore, knowing that your device is running outdated software.

Unlocked bootloader. This will help to encourage a more open developer community. Sony can set the standard for other high end smartphone brands by giving an unlocked bootloader right away. You could void the warranty only when 3rd party ROMs or kernels have been installed.

Bigger battery. Consumers (myself, for one) would rather have a thicker phone than a battery that dies before the day is over. Motorola Razr MAXX showed that a top smartphone can combine both massive batteries and beauty.

This are my personal opinions as to what a true high-end smartphone should have.

Please comment your own opinions and suggestions!
