Hi..Recently i bought a new xperia j, and i'm facing very low sound in headphones

Are you using the headphones that came with the phone are a third party set?

Try out the following:

1. Try ajusting the volume for applications: Setting -> Volume

2. Use the default walkman app intead of a third party music app

3. Enable the xLoud feature

4. Customize the equalizer in the walkman

Let us know if this helps. I am using Xperia J and trust me sound quality of the phone is awesome.

actually i bought this mobile on december 26th as it comes with warrenty right....so is there any chance to replace my phone or get service

Absolutely. It is under warrenty for one year. Check with the support team first and they will tell you in which service center you can go. The service center will fix the problem. Nothing to worry.

I have the same problem but i did not get earphones with sony xperia j , i have tried 10 and more different earphones but every earphone have low sound and earphones doesnt work good. Sony please help tell us what to do

Hi my name i Chanakya KAtyal . I purchased Sony Xperia J last week .

Since then it is giving me troubles.

1) Low sound in headphones as well as while connecting external speakers.

2) Even simple applications like Temple Run lags .

If this is the way it is supposed to be then I don't know why i spend 14.5k .

Very very upset because of this .

My first experience with is not at all good.

I am facing the same problem... Volume is too low through the earphone.... I've tried with several good quality earphones... always the same result.... but i'm sure the the hardware has the capacity to produce high volume... because when the music volume is low, if i turn on the radio and turn radio off again and then come back to music player i find the earphone low volume issue is solved. but then if someone call me & i receive the call through earphone- the music volume reduces again when the call is finished.... then i have to do the radio trick again..... there must be a software bug/issue that causing the volume to reduce.... SONY please solve this issue.

Hi shravan,

People have been complaining about the low sound of xperia J. I went to the shop from where I had bought this phone and the service centre as well but none of them proved to be helpful.After spending hours I finally found this app on the android market which again is an underated apllication with 3 stars only,its SoundBoost,it is the official application of android and would boost your sound level. After u have downloaded the application enable the option and SAVE IT..for further enhancement u can use Bass Booster

I am already using SoundBoost. However, Its the worst solution I've found. Because although SoundBoost increases the volume it detoriorates the sound quality. When it comes to music, quality is a vital issue.

Same problem here. There's a lot of people complaining, but sony did nothing about. I listen to music on the cellphone to stifle the transit sound and the original volume of the XJ isn't suficient to do that, I had to use an app to compensate(and had a huge quality drop, which is not a good thing too).
