Status bar disappears..!!

The status bar disappears for about 2-3secs and its very annoying I have done a repair last week but the problem has not solved yet..The Xperia U is damn buggy phone...the apps open slowly,camera takes 5-6secs to click a picture and what not..! Disgusting..

status bar? are you using another home launcher? a different lock screen? any antivirus or taskillers? have you disable any app? you have to be more specific.

Im using stock launcher,stock lock screen,stock status bar...no task killers or anti-virus...and disabled app..? can you elaborate about disabled apps..? will that cause this issue..?

I know the disabled apps thing...but what is the disabled apps got to do with the issue here...??

My issue is that the top portion i.e the place where the status bar is, becomes blank(black color) for about 2seconds very often...why is this happening.? It stays for just 2seconds only...otherwise I would have posted a screenshot..

that's really weird...seems like something messed up with your systemUI. if u are rooted you could try to download a working systemUI (u can find them in few forum, just look for them) and replace your one. or u could get another stock launcher (not an app from the market, but a file to flash from recovery). if nothing worked u could flash the firmware back with flash tool.

sorry to hear about your problem with your phone, but i think the opposite about it.

i think it is really great phone for the price, but u have to optimise it a bit to get out all it can offer.

i'm on stock rom at the moment with just few mods, and i never have lags, it is really fast and fluid and always have around 130 Mb of ram available.

repair your phone with SUS or PCC do NOT root your phone, uninstall mcafee > do NOT install any app, see if the problem persist

Ya its wierd...Im not rooted..Of course yes its a very good phone in that price range...but these days Im totally disappointed with its performance...very slow in opening the call logs,messaging etc...

So can I root using the "ROOT MANY ANDROID" procedure..?? is it safe..? I didnt think of rooting yet,coz I was waiting for JB ROM...but i guess its not available now..

oh ok so your phone is laggy, delete the call logs and all the sms/mms that will speed your phone.

we are not going to get JB room...ever...sony decided to stop to ics for xperia u.

that procedure is the one i used. if u follow the guide nothing can go wrong.

rooting is safe, just be sure what u modify ater u rooted the phone. for example dont delete files if u are not sure they can be deleted. with the root u can access system folders, and if u are not careful u can make some problems.
