Xperia U, ICS problem

I have bought the Xperia U - 3 months back in India. I got the phone with Anroid 2.3, and I was waiting for ICS update, the day came i could notice the update available in PC companion. I updated through PC companion.... Expecting best performance...

Now the problem started, ICS for Xperia U is Very poor. for me luckily no issues in operation. But the Phone became slow slow slow... like anything....

to make a call touch contacts .. start preparing the coffee once coffee is ready.. you could see contacts opening one by one... again touch a name to call.. and now we get the time to finish the coffee.. before the phone start the call...

Performance was so poor with ICS, finally I was forced to take the sim out from the Xperia U and to use the sim with my old phone....

I am not even 1 % satisfied with Xperia U ICS. If it is not possible to design ICS for Xperia U with 512 MB RAM. Then why should Sony advertise it like upgradable to ICS.

I never thought Sony an Market leader will give this bad experiance to consumers. Next time i will never belive sony advertisements...

If sony didnt fix this ICS issue with Xperia U. This is gonna be my last phone with Sony. And i am ready to wait for reasonable time..

MY Phone:

1. No games loaded.

2. Only banking software,Gtalk, Whatsapp, cam scanner, redbus,facebook & Ticket booking apps loaded.

3. Ram booster.

Problem started:

While I started to sync my facebook, Gmail and Whatsapp.

It was working for first few days.. then Phone become very slow.

Yesterday i took it to Sony service centre, downgraded to Anroid 2.7. Now it working.. still scared to sync Gmail, Facebook and Whats app. not satisfied woth Anroid 2.7.

Very bad experiance with Sony ICS. I bought his phone only because, this is upgradable to ICS. or els i would have bought Samsung Galaxy ACE.

It might work once, this bad marketing stratergy..... because people trusted Sony brand name.

Once Goodwill gone then its difficult . now i have to think twice if i have to buy sony product.

Atleast Sony shall publish an approximate date when this will get fixed....

ICS need to be updraded to work fine with 512 MB RAM.

The problem here is avtually facebook

It takes a lot of RAM

so dont use it just use browser to chat and all

Do not use live wallpapers and ram boosters too

Ajith i have same handset , you know ics is more smoother then ginger b , first time when i updated i got a lot of problems like you my fone got slow alws no connectivity etc.... i prefer that after update rest your fone settings and remember before reset untick - Backup my data and autometically restore,in first attempt do Setting reset then perform factory data reset but keep in mind always make backup of contact and messages because they can be wipe after that , then you have disable some of useless applications and i hardley recommand you to disable Google + because when i disable that my fone really got faster. just try because now we already buy that fone so we have only two choice- 1. change fone or 2. perform some operations to increase perfomence , thats up to you.
