My Xperia Is Really Slow

My Camera, Takes about 30 seconds or longer to load, click a option it freezes and comes up with not responding,

other things are the same the phone keeps freezing.

also won't connect to the computer via USB, what should i do??

Can you provide more informations?

If you updated your phone to ICS and didn't reset the settings you should do that.

The other option is to repair or update your phone via PC Companion or Sony Update Service.

The third option however is to flash manually b.1.54 or c.1.10 firmwire as those are the latest firmwires so far (we are waiting for b.1.89 to be rolled out any day now, probably this week).

@ligh Scan : why so negative? please do not mislead people with your own shortcomings and your personnal circumstances. I think on the contratry it is a great phone in its category

as for our friend bobbywig, if the advice of Slajder still does not satisfy you try to simply limit background running apps to only one or two; usually it is they who slow down the phone and even drain the battery, without you knowing.

It won't let me connect to to computer via the usb meaning i can not update.

and i aint updated since i think August last year.

iv tried update centre and PC companion, and all the instruction it says it can not find my phone even though it's connected.

My apps are i make sure i close them when finished, it ofton freezes and then shuts down... and restarts, its so annoying i want a pic, takes over 1 min to load and when it does it freezes!

Well in that case... Have you consider that you have no proper drivers installed to your computer?

Maybe you're using older/different OS and you need to install drivers first, or reinstall the existing ones.

You can check device manager (in windows) to see if the OS detects any kind of device is connected.

I had a lot of work to enable data transfer from my linux -.- sony apparantly f. up the mtp drivers somehow :smileygrin:

Else.. you could try to install PC Companion to onother PC (with windows 7 if possible) and try that way (eliminate the possibility that it's your PC's fault)...

IF nothing works, than it might be some hardware problem

I only got my laptop 5 weeks ago. and i have Windows 8.

it just says that its installing then fails...?

Also might back my stuff up to a cloud drop box or something as it will NOT let me use to USB at all! and maybe just reset my phone??

Well that's not the same thing you said! You said you can't connect the phone to PC.

Than it's probably some softwere fault, try disabling anti-virus or firewall... Or, just try connecting and repair from windows 7 PC, you have nothing to lose

1.) open pc companion (with admin privelages.)

2.) connect phone

3.) after driver installation if not detected.

try to go to my computer> device manager

see portable devices. uninstall , then refresh

4.) the pc companion should be able to detect your phone..

if you are trying to repair your phone, have you tried working on settings reset or factory data reset?

iv done this. its not PC its PC companion.

when i click connect to phone it does the steps but dosnt get past the 3'rd step, the istalling part.
