stamina mode?

Hi, i got the xperia z recently. Have noticed that at times the stamina mode doesnt work properly. When you toggle between it the battery life doesnt change. I then have to reset the phone post which it works fine. This has happened 3 times in the last 5 days.Does anyone know how to fix?

could you elaborate? do you mean that it doesn't turn on ?

No. I mean i can switch it on & off however when i switch it on, it makes no difference to the estimated battery time left. However if i master reset the phone, then it turns back to normal which means - It does show a difference in the battery time when i switch it on & vice versa.

Well everyone is facing the same problem. Right now there isn't any permanent solution for same. Even I tried reseting my phone twice, after which stamina mode will work fine for few days and same problem will be back. Well I can't afford to loose my data( reinstalling all apps, even though I take backup) and reseting my phone everytime.

Hope Sony will solve this problem in next update. Till then bear with it.

that's odd it works for me, it changes from 2days to 4days on standby, which build number do you have?

@aky have you repaired your phone with PCC or SUS?

i havent taken my phone to repair anywhere but i plan to this saturday as on a full charge now it hardly shows a standby time of 20 hrs which is scary!

Yes even i lost my data thrice doing a master reset. However if you are facing the same issue how do you manage the battery life. It just gives me 20 hrs of standby time on a full charge.

You are lucky that it works fine for you, when i reset my phone i also have no problems for at least a day but then it switches back to the same problem

Yeah I did SUS but like I mentioned earlier, stamina mode was working fine for few days after reseting and SUS (here I tried both solution).

repair it with SUS, that's the first thing I did when I got my phone

Battery is fine with me, even without turing on the stamina mode my phone last me for 2-3 days on standby mode.

I've noticed one issue, I don't use stamina as I like to keep my data/wifi on but when I check the phone in the morning stamina was on, it seems that after few hours on idle the phone enable stamina, its a good thing for users who like to save battery, but it is bad news for users like me who want to keep their data on (sync on)

Well my stamina mode doesn't turn on automatically, though it gives me message suggesting me to turn on my stamina mode every morning. Here what I don't understand is, everyone is facing same problems but in different way. Lol.

if the battery dont last ling then there is no poient of purchasing it!!!!

SONY Team must releae an update or resspond to the thread asap.

I repaired mine first time I got my phone by Update Service, after 5 days, now the stamina mode doesn't work when I toggle it on or off.

Iam facing the same problem

I spent alot of money for the stamina mode ??????

Because I had before galaxy s2. Which 12 hrs battery life

I hope Sony run quickly to solve our serious problem

I think it takes a while for your phone to work it out?

At first I didnt notice much changes between the estimated but now if I toggle between the options I see the changes.

I can run my phone up to 2 days with wifi/mobile network on 24/7. I'm a heavy user of social networking, texting, emails also calls now and again.

Battery is brilliant

STAMINA mode will constantly re-evaluate your usage and update the expected standby time accordingly.

This standby time will completely vary depending on your own personal usage. You may see that when you first start using your handset, the Standby time will be higher than what is expected after you have used the handset for a few days. This is due to STAMINA mode having no previous usage history to estimate from.

If you have a very high usage level, you may only see a slight improvement between having STAMINA enabled and disabled. STAMINA mode is more effective the more often the display is turned off as this is when the power saving features kick in. If the display is rarely turned off, you may not see much improvement in the battery performance.
