Xperia P Notification Led not working

i just bought a XP that comes with ics out of the box... after 1 day i noticed that my notification led light is not working when i missed a call or received sms notification... is there anyway to fix it?

Is the Notification Light Check on Messaging settings? try to check it ,if it's check , restart your phone.

thanks for the reply ill try that now.. when i check the settings the notification is checked.. ill try to restart my phone

oh by the way,if restarting your phone doesn't still solve your notification light, try also checking settiings>power management>extended standby mode , make sure it's uncheck, because if it's check, when the phone is off and you've got message, missed calls,fb notif, the notif. light will only blink when you turn on the phone. hope it might help 😃

mine works even if the extended standby mode is on. try looking for 3rd party apps that may mess up your notification lights

I'm having the very same problem. I just got my Xperia two days ago and the LED hasn't worked a single time ever since.

It works alright when someone's calling, or when I'm charging the phone, but it won't work if I receive an sms or a whatsapp for instance, which is quite annoying if you rely on LED. I've tried with other apps but it won't work anyways.

I can't find the settings for it in messaging in the settings menu though, can someone help me? 😕

Is your Battery Extended mode check? make sure it's uncheck in settiings>power management>extended standby mode and to find the message settings go to messaging,tap the menu on the strip bar, then settings then see if the notification light is check.
