I cannot connect 3g anymore, today at 1600 it just stopped working. if I select the 3g t-mobile option it confirms it registers with the Dutch T-mobile network but after that no app connects to the mobile internet. All the APN settings I verified with the operator seem ok

I have already hard reset the phone to factory twice and run the latest version software I am sure, the phone specifies that and PC companion also

does anyone have any ideas??

i swapped the sim card the service attendant confirmed as well that can happen that the card malfunctions

it worked initially and android seemed to identify only a 3 g network to which it connected but when i started roaming through Amsterdam, settings reverted back to the the 2 g network. i can then manually change to 3g again, it then holds for about 5 minutes and then goes back to 2g

mad annoying i have no idea what to do now

@uliwooly: would you reckon this is a software problem, a hardware problem or a network issue??

i have sent a query to t-mobile a specialist is investigating, but what that means if they can t find faults on their side, they are going to fault the phone meaning I have to swap the device probably

it could be that the issue is indeed the phone, but wait for Tmobile to let you know of their findings

which apn settings are you using?

I had a similar issue with another Xperia and the issue was

the Authentication type and APN type
