Backup not restoring

followed sonys e-mail to me done a factory reset of the firmware but backed up phone first, now when im trying to restore it gets to settings and then tells me restore failed and to try again. So now i have nothing and looking like another god knows how long of setting everything back up.

This has really annoyed me now.

Any Ideas?

Sorry to hear of the issue you've had. Have you tried restoring this section by section rather than as a whole restore to see where the issue lies? It may be that only a small section of the backup is having an issue and the remainder would restore fine if you did it one section at a time.

Did not have the option to do it one bit at a time, so have had to reset it up manually.

are you trying to restore a backup made in an earlier firmware version?

It happened to me..when I made the backup in the original firmware (7.0.A.1.303) and after updating the firmware to 7.0.A.3.195, the backup refused to restore.

Think Sony made changes to the app which I believe they should have noted before letting people update. Glad I had used other backup apps and manual copying out stuff and not had only relied on the Sony app.
