Walkman Playback

Hi, I’ve had my Xperia S since September 2012 on ICS. Since the turn of the year when using the Walkman to play music through the supplied headphones I get skipping/ jumping when playing music that has been on the phone since I first uploaded it and previously didn’t have a problem. Can anyone think why this is now an issue? It’s never the same place, seems random. Sometimes it’s once a track sometimes more. Are there apps that can interfere with your Walkman playback quality?

Task killers could do this so if you have any installed please remove them. If you do not then I would advise backing up the memory card content to a PC and formatting the card before putting the content back as you may have a corrupt memory card system file.

Thanks for that Sam. After many hours of sorting through the changes to Apps and software on my phone over the last few months, uninstalling trying the player then reinstalling when no improvement was found I eventually found the problem. I don't know why or how, but Orange Mobiles Roaming Angel was the problem. Once unistalled I had my player back to its best. Reinstalling the Roaming Angel, the problem came straight back. Conclusive in my eyes and the App, which is pretty poor unless it is following you bundles when abroad is a bit worthless as the feedback for the app suggests. So its gone forever.
