Issues with Text Messaging.....

Hiee folks...

I am having a strange sort of a problem. My Xperia Tipo suddenly stops sending and receiving text messages. I tried to use couple of ftf's and found that that problem stands still. It resolves temporarily on restarting the mobile but the problem resumes after few minutes.

I also searched internet, found a solution proposed by someone to use *#*#4636#*#* code and check the message center # which is absolutely correct. I think it has nothing to do with center number; because its not solely about sending failure, rather its about both way communication i.e sending and receiving.

I am not sure if its hardware related issue? I would greatly appreciate if someone from the community lay a helping hand.

I would advise requesting a SIM replacement from the network as a first step.

Thanks for the response.

The same SIM works perfectly on my Nokia E5 and Samsung Galaxy Pocket. Moreover, I can receive and make calls and can use GPRS, 2G without any hassle . Do you still think there could be a problem with the SIM?

Tipo is working alright otherwise. Any other bright ideas?
