I have a problem with my Xperia U, can anybody help?

Hiya,

Ive had my Xperia U for quite a while now (Sept 2012), and have had a recurring problem. My phone would sometimes freeze on a grey screen, and the only way to fix this would be to take out the battery and leave it for 24 hrs. But the same thing happened to me a few days ago, but i cant resolve my problem.

The screen is completely blank, even when connected to a charger (USB and Mains), when connected the only response i have is a red light. But the phone will not turn on or connect to my PC, and i am in DESPERATE need to transfer my data to my PC so that i can send it off to be corrected.

If anyone has had this problem before or knows of a way to fix this, please get back to me.

try this

connect your phone to the wall charger > press and hold the power button & volume up for 8 seconds > let it charge for an hour then try to turn it on.
