Wi-Fi will not turn on - Xperia P

RecentlyI got an Xperia P

Its a nice phone. I'm happy enough with it

EXCEPT. The wi-fi will not turn on.

Nothing I do or try will fix this problem.

Please help as it is starting to annoy me.

You mean that the wi-fi icon does not appear when turning on?You should know that if you do not have a network around,you will not see that icon.

the wi fi will just not turn on, on the the phone

in my house I have a wireless router

it will not pick up any signal

I go into settings, wi fi, and then attempt to turn it on. I could leave it there for 30 minutes but it will not turn on.

nothing.

it receives network signal fine

Try to restart the phone and then try to turn on the Wi-Fi. It worked for me.

Have you tried another wifi zones (with different routers)? Because mine works fine on most routers but refuses to work on other ones.

again, if I could try to connect to ANY wi-fi then I would

at home, work, in the pub, shop or wherever.

the wi-fi will just not turn on

simple as that.

i'm starting to regret buying a sony

Hi i have the same problem yesterday that problem started and i cant turn on wifi ,i have tried to open bluetooth and it worked (first i pushed the button of wifi and it stacked and when i opened bleutooth the wifi opened )but now even if wifi is opened i cant connect to the network

Force restart the phone(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).If still not working,repair phone software with sony update service.
