My Sony Xperia phone has siezed up on a number of occaisions; on at least 3 of these I have returned it to the supplier who sent it to the repair shop so that I remained without the phone for 3 weeks on each occaision (but I still had to pay the exhorbitant monthly fee during that period).

When the phone is returned, there's usually a "could not dulpicate problem," message attached.

This morning it would not start, I plugged it in to the power point see if charging would help, and after disconnecting it it intermittently started, but without letting me do anything other than look at the home screen.

During one period there was a message "Xperia Home not responding: Cancel, Ignore?" Having never heard of Experia Home (Hey, I've only had the phone for 15 months) I took a gamble, and what ever I did had to be a gamble, and hit Cancel.

Nothing improved, and I perservered with attempting to get it to start, and unexpectedly it re-booted!

What is going on here?

There is obviously a simple glitch, and the guy in the repair shop (which is in Sydney, while I live in Melbourne) knows what it is and how to get around it; but he either doesn't know that I don't know, or he doesn't know how to communicate.

So what's the quickest, least stressful way to make this phone work when it refuses to work? My success this morning was pure luck, and I could not repeat it - I can't recall half of the things I did, and I don't know which one(s) led to success.

When I can afford to, I will buy another brand.

I'm experiencing a problem regarding to my xperia z ultra. It always shows "xperia home isn't responding" I tried to restart it so many times and tried to connect it with PC Companion but doesn't detect the phone. Either it freezes or shows a black screen. Sometimes it responds on the main screen but when I tried to open the apps button, no apps exists. What can I do to fix this problem? Thank you!
