Experiencing Battery Problems and WiFi issue

Based on my experience using xperia SL i found these critical issues:

Battery consumption is high when using 3G and WIFI
In the WIFI settings advanced mode there is no option of turining WIFI off when Screens turns off
The WIFI always on when screens on and off which consumes battery life partially.

When an update for xperia SL JELLY BEANS is gonna released ???

I suggest that you try to run a software reinstall using SUS.
