Battery Problem

I've been using my xperia acro s for almost 5 months and it is running smoothly. but the last time that i used it, my phone hanged and it stays on showing only the xperia logo loading screen. i was forced to stay up all night, since the phone's temp is increasing, i put it inside a ziplock and put it in a water bath to prevent any damage in its hardware coz i'm afraid the temp might damage the phone. my phone was not the same after that. my battery stays on 1% even i charged it for about 2 hours. i need to restart my phone to see the actual battery percentage. but it will get back to 1% again. is there a problem in my software? or my battery is dead? 1% can last up to 24hrs so i think there might be a software problem even after updating my phones software. please help.

Hello , i got your PM and i'll reply here

Force shutdown your phone

Press and hold Power Button and Volume Up button at the same time

5 Seconds > Force Restart Phone

10 Seconds > Force Shutdown Phone

And then switch it on and put to charge. See if the problem remains

i did try force restarting and shutting down my phone. but the problem is still there. even when i connect my charger. its charging but is stays in 1% even after a couple of hours. i unplug my phone after 3 hours of charging to avoid over charging. what else cani do? its annoying that my battery is always in 1%. i dont know when do it will be drained completely.

Do not worry about over charging, you won't be able to do that

Now follow the steps

1) Put your mobile to charge for 1 hour ( Ignore if you've recently charged it for hours )

Rpeiar your phone wither with sus or PCC

________________________________________________________________

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions

bro i updated already my phone to the latest software. i don't know if its because of the update. how can i revert my phone back to its old software? it was working fine before the update.

i think i have the same problem as others. if the battery temp is lower is about 40% it will have a charge.but while charging the battery's temp increases so it will stop charging.

reubenjeromeatayde Updating and repairing are 2 different procedures.

By following the steps above, you'd reload the firmware on your phone. That should kick off the software glitches, if any .

Regarding rollback of previous firmware, you will have to contact Sony support center or you could use flashtool to flash it.

But first repair using SUS to see if problem remains

hi minhlawaco. my phone is now working fine. what i did was to empty my battery until i can no longer turn it on and left it for a day. then i charged it up to 100%. after that it worked fine. up to know its ok. try to first repair your phone using the repair software. then try what i did. i hope this will work. let me know

My phone still does not work even though I have tried to do as you.I took it to the shop and asked for 1 new one.now I'm using the new phone and then, still Sony acro s.Thanks for your sharing.Have a nice day.

Can't proceed to the repair because the PCC prompts me that my phone needs atleast 50% charge to proceed.
