Data being used though disabled!

I'm using miro 11.0.A.5.5 and according to my phone's data usage it says I have used 1KB (yes, just 1KB!) from Google Play for the last week even though I've disabled Data traffic in my settings. Why is this?!?! I thought by turning off data traffic it means all and any data transmissions should not be allowed.

Clearly this has to be a glitch with the phone right? Anyway this has caused me to be unfairly charged £1 from my carrier as I have only been using Wi-Fi and no data. I'll be giving them a call tomorrow morning to see if they can reimburse me.

Other than this and a rather late 5.5 update in the UK I've been generally happy with my phone.

Sounds really weird actually. Haven't heard about this before.

The phone should be completely disconnected from the mobile network when data is turned off. You should try repairing the software as it's obviously something wrong in your phones software.

How would I go about repairing it? Will it erase any of my data or settings?

Yes, data stored on phone memory might be lost so be sure to synchronize or backup the content you wish to save (contacts, calendar etc). Content stored on the memory card will not be touched.

Sorry what's the repair method? Is it done using an external software?

I can't see a repair option in my Sony PC Companion.
