I have an xperia U and I accidently deleted a few picture folders from my phone, those where really sentimental pictures and I would like them back at any cost.

I tried using android data recovery but my pc is detecting my phone but when it comes up on the software only my pc drives show up but not the phone.

I don't know what to do, I unistalled usb from device manager and then restarted my pc, then reinstalled usb which then gave me MTP error, I then installed SUS and also put my phone on debugging, yet the software is not picking up my phone.

MTP is still not solved and I updated SUS and also switched off and pressed volume down key and got a green led light up. I am on my witts now and really really upset, how can I recover my data when there is so much complications, please help!

If you can't get a connection to your computer, try installing the latest Windows Media Player from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/download-windows-media-player. That should install the MTP-drivers.

If you still can't get a connection to your computer i suggest you try this on another computer.

I do however not know of any data recovery software that works with MTP-devices so i don't have any solution for recovering your files i'm afraid.
