Errors with lockscreen and resetting

Hi,

Have been having trouble when trying to change my lockscreen wallpaper. I go to 'settings, display, lockscreen, wallpaper' once I click on wallpaper the following message appears 'unfortunatel, lockscreen has stopped'... this was frustraing I tried turning my phone on and off and uninstaling numerous apps, to see ifthesewere conflicting with the lockscreen.

I had no luck with this so I backed up all my stuff and then triedto reset my phone by going to 'settings, back up and reset, factory data reset, reset phone, erase everything' however wheni click erase everything nothing happens I can click it over and over but nothing happens.

Please get back to me, I would appreciate it.

Have the same issue - did not work, has not worked yet. After I encrypted the phone, using numeric unlock I just get a black, blank screen when powering screen back on. Gathered it was another "undocumented" feature of my flagship phone. Seeing as no place to legitimately post any problems, quirks guess we sit back and wait!

Please try this:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     Turn on the phone, and connect it to the PC using a USB cable.
3.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
4.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
5.     Click repair phone.
6.     Follow the on-screen instructions.

Hello Sam,

For a "new" phone the so-called "fix" for issues is getting tiresome. I can report, "been there, done that" twice and has not fixed a solitary item or problem posted (Can't get back the time not-so-well spent reconfiguring everything over and over again)

Display, Lock screen - Wallpaper (Change wallpaper in lock screen) and choose Album or Xperia. Select an item (Album or Xperia Wallpapers) and Set Wallpaper. Get nice confirmation that say all is done. Wait set time (Default 30 seconds) and unlock. No wallpaper appears at lock screen. BIG PLUS would be enable Google Now (Have this on S3 with lowly 4.1.1) for lock screen.

BTW - Reinstall still has not fixed the no notification lights during Stamina Mode, low call volume or low-volume via earphones.

There are clear issues (Mostly minor) that need addressing and better yet, something better than reinstall the same ROM/OS that shipped with the phone over and over again.
