Xperia PLAY startup problem!

Had to put here too.

Okay the story went something like this: My phone was kinda laggy. so I returned the factory settings. It worked, not so laggy anymore. And then i downloaded ASTRO file manager it was on i locked the phone (by tapping the power button). Then tapped again and it didnt response.

I took out the battery tried to start it but it only normally vibrated. I tried to do the same thing like ten times, without a result. I even left the battery to be for a moment. Then i connected it to my computer without a battery and then i put the battery in, didnt press any buttons, the LED started glowing orange. I pushed the power button the LED stopped glowing. I did it again and now it is glowing green. I haven pressed any buttons yet. Thanks already!

And I have tried the fastboot but by holding the search button, nothing happens.

And one more question: If the phone is locked and you slide the pad open, does the PLAY menu appear on the screen?

And now.. I pressed th power button it vibrated. I plugged it into my computer put it on my desk screen against my desk and my my! it is on! Seems to work just fine.

Reportings from today: when i lock it and then try unlocking, it does not respond sometimes. I have to press the power button repeatedly to open the "slide to unlock" screen. And if i shut it down by removing the battery and then start. It takes more time than normally, when the "sony ericsson" screen appears. I think the software is just "broken" im going to try out the update service now.

Hello again! I installed the update service, updated my android, nothing new.

at least i got some games for free :smileygrin:

ok. now i have new reports. If i press the power button to lock the phone, it usually locks it better: it recognizes my commands but i cant see anything. If i restart my phone it does the same as before: it does not start. if i connect it to a computer, computer recognizes the device, and i can hear the sound that the device is removed. The LED is glowing all the time but i dont know. Now it connected and i can see the loading screen (Battery with a ligtning on it). But anyways when it goes to the "mode" I press the power key and the screen flashes. You can only see it in the dark.
I've been thinking of changing the operating system to 4.0 or something like that.

Is there any _easy_ guides for installing another system? All guides i've found are so.. complicated and hard to read.
