cant connect my arc s to pc using usb

hey guys its my first time posting and this is first sony ericsson phone. the phone just works fine excepg today i faced this usb connectivity issue. i opted mass storage and then connected my phone to my laptop. it did connect bt would disconect and reconnect itself even without i touched anything. i tried it like hundred times and also chkd other usb cables and other computers bt the problem persists. at frst i thought it wud be a lose connection bt the phone keeps on charging while this connection problem exists even with or without using pc companion... plz anybody help me out i am so much worried abt it.

install PC Companion or Sony Update Service on your laptop, so you will have the correct drivers

Update Service (SUS) make sure that you restart your laptop after installing SUS

sir thanks for the reply bt the phone also shows this problen without pc companion i mean it also had this same problm with my dad's computer eveb though it didnt had pc companion.

try this

turn off your phone > press and hold the volume down key > connect your phone while holding the volume down key > do not release the volume key > the notification LED should turn green > your PC should start looking for the drivers, if that doesn't work unplug your phone and on your PC disable your antivirus and/or firewall then try again

i did a fatory reset plus restarted my pc but still the usb connection connects and disconnects again while the phone keeps on charging.... it seems like hardware is ok but there is some background process crashing this usb connection

Hi, I'm suffering the same problem on my xperia arc s. After make a reset, the phone connects correctly with my pc, but when I tick on debugging USB the phone don't connect with de pc, and the problem continues even disconnect the USB debugging box.

What I should do?
