Xperia T won't charge/reset/turn on

I'm experiencing the same problem above with my brand new Experia T. I ran the battery down to zero and after that I can't charge it or the phone does not respond at all. I have tried all the above with no success. I have tried three different micro USB cables, two different chargers as well as charging it from my laptop USB. It seems like the phone won't charge (it remains cold) and connect to the computer at all. The reset function volume up + power does not have any effect. When I push the power button the LED is only blinking red. Please advice on the best way to a functioning phone.

If the phone runs completely out of battery it can take up to one hour of charging via wall socket before you can turn it on again.

I have the exact same problem but my phone did not run out of battery, i went to bed last night with 37% and when i woke up my phone was off, i assumed it was out of battery and tried to charge it, but nothing happened. I then did some research and swtiched it on using the power button and volume button and suprisingly apparently i still had the same amount of battery and my phone still will not charge.

I had the similar problem.. I bought my phone.. came at home.. at night turn the alarm on the XPERIA T.. in the morning i woke up..phone was off.I couldn't turn it on, reset function didn't work and nothing else either.Just flashing blue led light every 3-4 seconds and thats it.I sended phone to the service.Can't belive it rly.. I did not use nor phone 24 hours and it died.

Hi everybody,

I just bought my Xperia TX having the latest firmware.

The same problem, when the phone is off then it will not charge AT ALL !!!

Be aware of this faulty version since if you ran out of battery then you would not be able to charge it.

This is a big FAULT of Sony and unfortuantely it is very difficult to find a solution in my country (IRAN) since sony does not have a reliable service center.

SONY is cheating their customers by releasing the faulty products without fully testing.

A professional answer from Sony or other users would be highly apprecited.

how about this white triangle and a loading below it looks like recovering from error?

how can i fix my phone?., experia tx.,

i rebooted it how many time yet it keeps stil.

i also tried reupdating my phone and nothing happend?.,

i already have this newest version called jelly bean..

Leave the phone on charge.

The triangle will disappear after a few hours.

The system is sorting itself.

ive had my phone since november 2012 and charge it nightly,last night i did as usual and it hasnt taken any charge at all.the light doesnt come on indicating that its recieving charge.the battery icon at the top left of the screen however does show the little lightening bolt but the power continues to drop down. am i to assume ive got to return it to the store as it doesnt sort itself out ??

Just gonna add this here for anyone to see if they google it. My phone wasn't turning on, bought it september 2012 and the issue started today. It's up to date with latest firmware for Rogers. There were no lights at all when I plugged it in.

I then took the usb cable, plugged it into my computer, before connecting my phone to the cable I held the power and the up volume button. It vibrated a few times but nothing happened. I plugged it back into the wall outlet and it worked as normal with half charge.

I have the same problemand my phone is just over a year old. I have tried all the same options as the others but still get the black screen and I am getting very frustrated with it cos I don't get txts or phone calls and can't play games or go onto internet while waiting for people etc. Has anyone got a solution. I have my Xperia T,the phone wont turn on, when i push the button power the red light stay lightyng 2 times continually and nothing happen, i tried wuth the volume button + power but is the same, i dont know what happen, someone know how to fix this ?

I'm experiencing the same problem of my Sony Xperia T resisting charging without any obvious reason i may have provided to it for behaving so .. the phone is stuck at 7% and not moving up the charge fill despite a constant battery charger connection of over 4 hours now..!! pls help

I am experiencing this problem yet again. I do have the latest updates and this is the same phone purchased in september 2012 from Rogers.

My previous solution procedure in this thread(under sprete98) did not work this time, however I found a post from Michael Darlington at this link(http://www.forumforpages.com/facebook/sony-mobile/xperia-t-is-not-charging/423700550/0?error=access_denied&error_code=200&error_description=Permissions+error&error_reason=user_denied#_=_) which helped me get my phone to boot again, so all credit and thanks goes towards him.

Here's the steps I took and symptoms I had:

Symptons:

1) Phone was dead

2) Pressing the power button would blink a red light

3) Holding the power and volume up button makes the red light flash a couple or few times

4) Plugging my phone in to charge gave no notification light unless presseing the button combinates said above

Solution Procedure from what I recall:

1) Plugged phone in to wall usb charger

2) Physically held the power button for 5 to 10 minutes(the red light remained on)

3) During the 5 to 10 minutes I randomly pressed the volume up button( I don't know if this does anything useful)

4) Unplugged the phone from the charger(was still holding the power buttton, don't remember if I was holding the volume up button)

5) Plugged phone back in and it vibrated and booted up at 1% charge(at this step I can not remember if I was holding the volume up button but I definitely was holding the power button, I am leaning towards I was holding the volume up button)

Connect to wall socket and charge for 1 hour,force restart after(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).

mines been charging for 48 hours. it's plugged in and no charge light. i try to turn it on, so some power is getting to it, it turns through that RIDICULOUSLY long rainbow sequence and switches off, i just wanna turn the wifi and vibrations off and the colour down. (had it since nov 12, so, no warranty obviousy.)

I keep coming back to these threads whenever my Experia T is acting up again. I finally bit the bullet and went the hardware way as described in a comment on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWox7kCygRE

"In the end I fixed this problem by removing the back cover (one screw in where the SIM card goes) and detaching the battery supply from the phone. After a minute or two I reattached the battery supply (its a little yellow tab beside where you plug in the charger) and put the cover back on, plugged into charger and it started charging as normal."

It's surprisingly simple, to be honest.
