XPeria arc s Display while playing video

Can anybody tell me how can i calibrate my phone display..........

because i changed the display but then too the line is coming while playing the video..........they told its memory card issue i change the card but no use still the line is coming while playing

I see you posted the same question over the XDA.

There is no way to "calibrate" your display.

There are some ways to calibrate battery (with questionable results), and there are some apps in which you can calibrate your phone sensors (actually they are not physically calibrated, but rather the app itself is "cheated").

But there is no way to calibrate display, for general purpose. The simplest answer you can get.

Search for other solutions, because obviously the issue you're having is not up to display itself.

Start with clean software installation with SUS.

I updated with the sus 2times but still problem is while playing video service center changed the display also but then to its very annoying to see the line

If they (service stuff) said that they replaced display, then is't logical to conclude that this is not a display issue.

Maybe there is some other hardware component malfunctioning in your phone, but the strange thing is that you have that mentioned line only while you play videos.

Is it happening on all videos or just on some? Have you tried different video players from market (MX Player preferably)?

yup only videos camera video or normal video but the line is coming and ya i had try the mx player but still its showing and i got my mother board change last month

I got that fine line at the margin of the screen, too, but with mxplayer I can see it no more:)

I don't mind:) I hardly watch any movies on my phone:)

ohh, I thought you were referring when the phone has already loaded the OS.and trying to watch a movie with the defalut player.... I don't have that issue.. when booting up...

Then, it's definitely a hardware issue, anybody can infer that... Sadly, here, on this forum, nobody can help you out with... Only a technician can sort it out...

This is a SOFTWARE issue.

The term is called video shearing (not sharing). Shearing occurs when the playback engine makes use of overlays, which from the looks of it is used by the stock Android video player. WMP8 and 9 (and I recall 10 as well) suffered from this problem as well with .avi and .wmv on the desktop Windows OS (and it was resolved by disabling USE OVERLAYS in the TOOLS menu).

MX Player sorts this out by implementing a different algorithm (ie, no shearing). But yeah. This is not a hardware problem. It's just the rather useless video player that's been loaded on the phone from factory / Sony. You're much better off getting a dedicated player like the MX Player if shearing drives you up the wall (it did for me during my days as a video editor).

What is the difference between H/w decoder and S/w

because it h/w mode line comes

and in S/w the line doesnt come but in this the video playback is slow comparing to Hw

HD dont play smoothly.................

its a defect in the software.
there is nothing you can do with it, my arc s also has the same fine lines in the edges near the logo.

yes because with mx player or the other xperia gallery player the problems is not there.
