Hi

Well I have seen guys stream music and videos from their phones using the older models such as the Xperia S and thats basically what I want to do. I think that means have my phone act as a media server.

From the videos I've come across today, all they did was turn media server settings on on the phone, and then search for media servers using the playstation. I tried that but it doesn't pick up anything on my PS3. So I've tried the Remote Play and Media Servers options to try getting my phone and PS3 to communicate. I hope this explains what I'm trying to achieve.

Please remember that I don't have a router so I'm trying to get them to communicate directly.

Thanks

Xperia T to PS3...authentication problem?

Dear Sony

I have tried to connect my Xperia T to my PS3 but it hasn't seemed to work out. Firstly, I don't have a router and does the PS3 connect directly to mobile xperia phones (I'm sure that's what Playstation Certified means). What I did try was using the remote play on the PS3 to connect to my phone. The PS3 asks me to input a code and I did that in the Wifi menu. It recognizes the PS3, however when I input the code the phone says 'Authenticating' and then it says that there's an Authentication Problem. Am I doing something wrong?

For PS3 to access content on your phone you need a router, but to use remote play with your phone, your phone is supposed to connect directly to your PS3, the only problem is when I try to connect using remote play I put the numbers in that PS3 displays on the screen to pair the devices then press connect on my phone and it says something like authentication failed, I have a router and im running a media server, but I want to connect my phone to my PS3 to download things from console to Phone as mass storage device isnt available on my xperia S it only supports USB OTG which I havent tried yet. Can anyone technical enough help with this? thanks.
