Xperia Go Refuse the force restart steps.

hello guys !

i have a problem with my xperia go phone, it refuse to open, i tried to force it to restart by press & hold both the volume up key & power key for 5 & 10 seconds but the screen lights up & there is a red light that keep showing for few seconds & the phone won't restart !

this case is from yesterday & it happened twice before & i lefted the phone for couple of hours & it came back to life, but this time the duration is passing 16 hours !

please help !

I'd suggest leaving this to charge for over 4 hours then try the soft reset again. If this fails to resolve the issue then you would need to run the phone through the Update Service program (http://bit.ly/Jb00HG)

Hello ! sorry for the late reply ...but it failed to charge it & how can i run the phone through the update service program ??

Open the Update Service

Agree the agreements

Choose your device (XPERIA go)

Once you stopped at the animation demonstrating how to connect do this...

Your phone, of course needs to be turned off

Hold down only the Volume down key and connect the cable into the computer

Continue holding until SUS says so...

There should be a green LED...

Note: Are you on ICS? Proceeding further will going to upgrade your phone!

i have zero experience with Andriod system !!

Err... You open the Update Service on a PC (Windows)?

...and the Force Restart...

You don't need to Hold the keys too long...

After one rumble from your phone, release the keys and it should reboot...

So it still appears SONY logo and then RED LED and then shuts down? Are you charging your phone?

Man i've been into finals & lots more, the phone was tipacally feeding on the charger for the past few weeks !
the SONY logo doesnt appear at all, but the RED LED is on,never changed !

Hmm... Somehow this problem also happens to my XPERIA sola when I bought only a few days...

The best solution here is that you open up the battery and wait a few seconds and place it back...

But since XPERIA go is screwed down the battery cover (like my XPERIA sola), I just charge it and let it for a few hours...

If it still refuse then I plug it out (leaving charger on), try to Start the phone...

Failed then hold UP volume and plug back into it...

LED should change to purple or something...

& after that ?

it did happen once , but never turned into purple again!

incase it happened again, what is the next step ?

Oops... Sorry, my apology...

*face palm*

I actually meant by Holding Vol DOWN key and then plug in the "charging" charger until Red and then Green LED shows up...

Hopefully it will reboot...

Just in case if you want to know the basics...

Power key = On/Off/Lock key

Power + Vol UP = Purple light (S1 Fastboot - used in Services and unlock boatloader/hacking)

Power + Vol DOWN = Green light (S1 Download - used in flashing ROMs/update/root)

Power + Vol UP + 1 rumble = Force Restart

Power + Vol UP + 3 rumbles (count 4 if you include above) = Total Shutdown

Remember to Mark the answers...

I did press the Power + Vol DOWN = Green light , then the LED turned to RED & the screen keeps switching on & off without the SONY logo & nothing changed !

Ok this is not good...

I think your phone is enough...

I would recommend you to go to any nearest Service Center or your authorised phone dealer to do a simple open and replace the battery trick...

Asem, I doubt that Update Service will ever help...

In your case, I think the battery's voltage might had gone wrong... Thus, recommend the above option...

If you run SUS, you might need to wait from 30 minutes to 2 hours to download that 300+ MB update file to your ICS... Moreover, it MIGHT cause your phone data loss...

Hope this will clear up your problem and I hope that the Open, Replace Battery (ORB) trick will work...

If it doesn't, discuss with the relevant partner for more details on fixing your phone and protect your data...
