Bluetooth A2DP Volume too low

Hello,

it seems that my phone is not providing its full level even if I put the slider to max. This does not bug me much when I use common headphones. But this really bugs me in my car since the volume level of the car's FM is so much higher than the volume of the bluetooth source that everytime the headunit switches to traffic announcements from FM it blows my ears. Even more, the low phone volume let's you hear more of the mass-loop-noise.

In the beginning, I saw this dialog "high volumes are harmful to your ears" or something like that. However, I only saw it once and cannot say anymore if there were settings. Nevertheless, I searched every menu of the phone I could find, but I found nothing to remove restrictions or something like that.

I read some weird forum threads about installing Beatz-drivers, volume+ apps and stuff like that. But the first one does not help much (and on top, it replaces the sound driver irreversibly); the second one is only for Custom ROMs like Cyanogen.

I have the impression that it should be possible since I sometimes recognize a higher volume for just a very small moment when media starts playing before it is reduced to the typical level.

If there are restrictions, why do they apply for bluetooth? I mean, every bluetooth device i know has its own volume control.

Does anybody have an idea about what to do? Is there some secret menu? Is there a config-file (I have root access and I know quite a litte about Linux)? I would really appreciate a hint!

There are a number of reasons this can happen. However in most cases I found this happens due the various equaliser/sound effect functions that are enabled. To rule this out it is worth while looking a third party player such as Playerpro (which incidentally has a preamp function so you can increase the max volume).

I have to apologize. I found out that it was something different. By a bad coincidence, a wire in my car got broken just the same day I changed my phone. So, everything is fine with my phone and, after repairing the wire, the volume is as loud as expected.
