WT19i Screen responsiveness

I am currently using my LWW on version 2.3.4 build no. 62. Since yesterday the phone was working fine.

Now i noticed that i have to tap the sceen 2 to 4 times to make a selection. Also when scolling the page does not scroll or it opens an app.

I would like if a member of the Xpreia support team can answer this question.

repair your phone with SUS, delete all SMS, MMS, and call logs

Thank You for the speedy reply.

There is no repair option available. It says that a new software version is available and is asking whether i want to proceed. I DO not want to update.

Is there any other way of repairing the phone (without updating to ICS)

you can try perform a factory data reset , still works like an update with reinstalling

Will factory data reset option install the software freshly or just delete the data?

Hello,

I did a factory data reset, but the issue was not solved.

So I took it to the place I purchased the phone and they said they will have to fix a new screen. Is the new screen really necessary? Also is the screen covered by the warranty as I have still not completed a year's use.
