ST15i restarting

When I turn on my Xperia Mini, I first see the sony logo and then I see the xperia logo and then the screen turns off. The phone automatically starts again with the sony logo, xperia logo and so on.

I have tried starting the phone in safe mode by holding down the volume key or by repeatedly pressing the menu button but both of them do not work. I have also tried to "repair" the phone via the PC Companion but it detects the phone only momentarily(as it switches on).

My phone is running on Android 4.0.4

This problem did occur in the past but I was able to open the safe mode then and a factory reset solved the problem at that time.No such luck now.

How can I hard reset the phone without reaching the menu??

Or is there any other way to solve this problem??

Please help.

You should not have any problem using Update Service to repair phone software as it does not require phone to be switched on for the process.

Use PC companion software for updating firmware.SD card should be inserted in the phone.

I have successfully updated without turning on phone.

while connecting to pc companion
it was not detecting phone it wants to turn on phone to detect

Maybe you turn on the bluetooth?
