uninstall it and reinstall it

there isn't much you can do, it's a bug with the app (compatibility issue) it's up to them to fix it not quite sony.

what happen if you take a regular picture (camera app) and then open it with instagram?

I doubt it's based on your SI number, but on the phone model, perhaps another user with Xperia go can test it

Same here bombaye....got the Instagram glitch in my xperia go too. I'm sure this is ICS update problem.

run instagram > option > camera setting > uncheck use instagram's advanced camera.
