I have a new Xperia mini (ST15i) and issues with the screen (instable, sometimes I have to pull out the battery). I red that an upgrade to Android 4 might solve the issue. See current version below.

I've tried to upgrade with PC Companion but the software sais that the phone is allready up-to-date. I also tried "repair" but that installs the same firm- and software that is allready on it

How can I upgrade to Android 4 and/or solve the issue?

are you locked on a network? if so, it would be at the network's discretion to release the update.

if not, try using this www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure what you mean with "are you locked on a network".

I'm not necessarily looking for Android 4, but just want the issue to be solved. The phone sometimes is unusable because the screen becomes unstable. I even can't unlock it.

I've installed the SUS. This also says that the phone is up-to-date. I ran it anyway, but the versions (build & Android-version) stay the same after installation.

Is there another way to solve the issue? I red something about "rooting" but I've never done that before ans it looks like it's not easy 🙂
