It has been mentioned here with another words, but practically is this. When leaving the phone for a period of time without use, at night let´s say, the phone won´t wake up by pressing the power button and the only thing that succesfully counters this is to restart the handset with the vol up + power button combo. Also when charging it for a couple hours will happen the same.

Walkman is not that faulty here but sometimes will repeat the same song forever. Need to reboot.

There is no way to use an external sd card, not to mention a high capacity one say 32gb class 10 because all this issues will get worse, even the phone won´t wake after entering sleep mode for minutes. The same with sd cards from 2gb and so on.

We all know here that are some rare lucky devices that run as butter, as every last one of it should, but for Christ sake this is joke for the majority of us who are expecting an answer or better, a serious update to settle and counter all this disgusting bugs.

The advise from the Support guys from here, going to seus and try repair phone from there, well... we all know that is the worst answer ever, and they know at first hand that won´t solve this issues. So then they´ll say to drop the phone to service for maintenance and check up for bla bla bla... Anyway for us that answer and nothing is the same thing.

This is my second device in less than a 20 days period, got it after giving my first to warranty (as it would be suggested by these support people) to my carrier thinking it was a rare and uncommon hardware fault. But know I´m pretty sure that this ICS software is bad as death, specially if we follow the forums here where people complain about "upgrading" from GB to ICS...

About claiming warranty again, comm´n... I´m already the laughingstock at my carrier and with my friends, I´m the only one who cannot rely in my phone even for the alarm at morning for job, because that alarm is never going to rock, but how? If my phone is death...

So please give us and treat us nice as we deserve for trust you Sony, don´t make us go away to other company when it´s pretty simple to retain us: Just give us a decent and robust, solid firmware at once and let us be happy with our -we hope someday-, beloved T.

It does seem the Xperia T is riddled with faults maybe a 2nd revision will fix it, from the posts i see various problems, im sur there are others to

Buggy firmware

Peeling back

Not powering on from new

Charging problems

Audio problems when recording video (related to lens motor)

Overheating

Poor battery

Im sure there are more but this phone looks like a dud, if james bond relied on this phone for his job hed probably already be dead as it wouldnt have turned on lol

Same problem, I come back to the phone and it's not on and I have to power it on by holding the volume key+power. I can't rely on the alarm to wake me up or if work is calling me for an emergency. I have to constantly check or wakeup and check to make sure it hasn't frozen and shut off. Sony, seems like something that should be addressed with an immediate firmware bug fix, it's a deal breaker and I have no other choice but to take it back for something I know will be reliable like a Samsung.

Or at least an acknowledgment of the problem and something we can do about it in the mean time.

Ok Sony, thanks for nothing but a real waste of time and life by selecting your useless and pity device. It seems that you and your "top notch" engineers just can get this thing to work, not a simple word or a simple apologise, which of course won´t help at all.

Tried everything to fix this, or at least everything possible to live with this, installed several wakelock apks, swipped my sd card three ****** times, retain busy my former T to avoid this sudden death but nothing helped. And there was no need to live with this.

So today I finally get an exchange from my carrier and got the SGS3, and you know what? Couldn´t be happier! Just playing with it for a few hours and I´m already a samsung fan. THIS should be the Bond device, blazzing fast, always reliable.

Thanks guys for all your replies, here´s my advise, if you still can run and get an exchange like me! Stay away from the T!

Good luck Sony and I hope to never hear from you again!

Hi everyone, I just got my Xperia T last weekend, I had same problem last few days. I charged my Xperia T overnight when it was running low battery. Next morning, battery indicator showed and was stucked in green, and screen remained in black, so I did mannually forced it to shut down. I had this problem twice

Last night and the night before it, my phone again was running on low battery, so I cleaned all the background app before charging my phone. Guess what? Next morning, my phone wasn't frozen. I will keep trying this for couple more days. I will even try this when power off my phone. If it works for the next days, then I don't need to send my phone back to Sony.

However, I, as everyone else, do suggest Sony Xperia release update software to fix this issue ASAP.

Thank you for reading. Hope everyone's Xperia T lives long and stylish.

I am happy? I AM NOT HAPPY. Since I received this as christmas present Rogers will NOT return it since it was already past the 15 day return policy by the time I opened it. Spent an hour on the phone in the Sony store and they would not even offer an exchange or RMA let alone return this rebooting piece of crap back, they want me to send in the phone for a repair and be without it for at least AN ADDITIONAL 2 WEEKS. And seeing this is not a bug they can replicate properly they're just going to send it back with the same problems. I've already been jumping through hoops for 3 weeks doing factory resets and repairs via the companion tool, haven't been able to enjoy it let alone use this as my phone yet, still forced to use my old one. It's a better option at this point for me to cut my losses and sell it on craigslist. AND NEVER BUY SONY AGAIN. How sad is that? I wasn't mad before but what kind of half ass response is that? Why even have these forums here if no one is answering or helping, they're doing more damage than good, just unresolved problems being indexed by Google! What's even the difference to Sony if they give me a different phone to try, it's baffling. $600 for this thing. Even if there was some magical update to the firmware that fixed it the phone will be on sale for $99 by then.

I tried to reinstall with that stupid PC Companion I don't know how many times (wich, if you read ALL the posts is the only stupid answer that they say even knowing that will fix NOTHING).

Me, as you, have bien waiting for some update to fix this cr*p and it never arrives.

I wrote a post, where People from different countries had the same problem. More than 4000 read that post, and Sony suport does months that wont say a word. Read their amazing answers by yourself, it is called "about the camera".

Be sure than now they have too much trying to cheat some more thousands with their lies about the wonders of the New Xperiacrap Z.

With a little luck, the'll answer to you. You'll be more lucky than me.

Sorry man, you were cheated same as the rest.

As an advice copy links of this posts in as many other fòrums as you can. Is what I do, so people can read by themselves how wonderful is Sony, and how they cheat to the costumers.

People HAS TO KNOW how Sony does things and that they don't give a shi*.

Same problem here. Seems to be random, although mostly happens when charging. Won't turn back on, have to do a reset (power v up). On other random shut downs, usually while browsing, no reset needed, just power back on. There seems to be other bugs with the notification light related to charging not going on or staying on after unplugged.
