NFC problem

hi SONY, i tried to beam my xperia S to samsung galaxy S3 through NFC to send picture..... although touch to beam animation will appear when phones back to back touched, but after i touch to beam, nothing happen,,,,, can i know how to solve this problem? is NFC only available for SONY TO SONY?

Make sure you have the picture or song open when you put the phone next to each other otherwise the Xperia S don't know what to beam over.

I have the same problem, also with SG3 , nothing is happen after "Touch to beam"

Hi guys, same here. Tried to beam a picture from xperia acro s to galaxy s3 but nothing happen. Are they somehow incompatible?

Johan~ tried many times... but still same... when beam with each other got sound, but it will redirect to playstore instead of send file... howto solve this problem? can you test it with SG3 so you will know the true problem....

NFC doesn't work on Sony. Other people with samsung S2Plus or S3 do everything with NFC, video, photo, audio files ... I'd like a better Sony mobile systems and software! At the moment, Samsung wins ...

I have exactly the same problem and it makes me really feel embarassed
as every time I touch to beam, I am redirected to play store and nothing is transferred !!!!

Same here. Also when transfering from HTC OneX to my Xperia S, dialog pops up saying file is too large.

Solution is simple, When you want to send file (audio, pictures, contacts) from your Samsung Galaxy S3 to Sony Xperia remember to enable only NFC option NOT S Beam from the settings(on GS3), IF you enable S Beam option then it will take you to play store.

Hi Johan, well after .211 update I'm facing, battery problems, it hardly lasts a day, and the other problem is that it heats up! really after a continuous usage of 15-20 mins it heats up, never faced this problem with ics!

Hi Johan,

Many Indian and other users have reported this :-

2G Slow Data connectivity issues, and 1080p video lag in capturing, and severe battery drain (2x speed ) issue even after 1 week of installing JB, phone heating upto 48C.

Please let us know will these issues be fixed or not ? It's relally getting very bad now, both JB .200 and .211 updates were full of bugs didn't solve a single problem mentioned above.

Thanks for the support Johan, hope that I will receive the new update, since I didn't receive .211 update.

I'm from Macedonia and I use WiFi and 3G connection, works fine. NFC now works (on ICS it wasn't working). I tested it with Xperia T and LG phone and it works fine.

The main issue on my phone now is the camera. Laggy video recording I can say and laggy image capturing - but only in night. So, I'll just take the video recording. I saw that the old videos were with 29 fps, now they are with 18 fps... I don't know why is that... tried with other camera apps, it's the same...

The heating is higher on Jelly Bean, I didn't knew that my phone will heat, but it's OK 🙂

Battery is good, not like ICS, but good. like 20-30% less than ICS... so mainly that's OK for me too 🙂

Hope that my "new" phone will have it's bugs fixed, because I'm so happy to receive the JB update on 30 May. Now I got brand new phone! 😉
