xperia P 8 megapixel camera problem

Hello Guys,

I just bought my Xperia P 4 days ago and i already updated the software to android 4.0.4 then I knew there is something wrong with the camera app. Pictures taken with the resolution set to 8 megapixel with flash seem to be very dark. The taking of the picture and the flash are not sync in my opinion.6 megapixel with flash configuration doesn't show this problem. I uploaded sample pictures of the 8MP and 6MP config for better comparison.

Same problem here camera snap and flash desychronized Sony needs to fix this really fast.

Hey, if any of you guys is rooted you can try this. Mine worked like a charm :smileygrin:.
Currently there's no fix for non-rooted users, sorry.

I also have the same issue with my week old sony xperia P. This happened after I tried changing the resolution to 8mp from 6mp with flash. Pictures taken with the resolution set to 8 megapixel seems to have a dark part. Do we have any fix for this Sony?

fasing same problem ......... and the timing of flash is nt correct ....... it flashes.... but the picture turns darker .......... WHY ??????

DID NOT FOCUS CORRECT IN AUTO SCENE MODE ??

i had this problem too.

i was on unlocked bootloader and rooted

30min ago i relocked the bootloader and repaired my phone by sony pc Companion

and since then i took alot of pics and they are just fine no half black pic.

i'm very happy

hi this isnt prob with 4.0.4 initialy,i too bought it a month back,this has been caused by an update to 4.0.4 in recent time,everyone is facing issue,this issue wont be seen just after restarting phone,its sure tht sony has taken notice of it,as for ppl who update now by default cam works at 6 mp so that no one notices the issue,tht kind of cheating,but what i came to know from post here in another forum,a smal update for fix of this issue has been released in sri lanka

mithunindia,..the camera probles seems to be appearing agaiinnnnn.... ..Hopefully yet no problem in the notification sound..so mithunindia the update was not a bugfix at all....:smileysad:..sony should be more concerned abt the custermers who they already hav..

oh so sad i think u wd have thought the problem got fixed because when we restart the phone it doesnt come,sony is washin there hand off the issue,wen i tried geting into contact with cc they say to give phone at service center,and i dont wana screw up my phone that way,might be we have to wait till JB update now,idiot sony guys:smileyangry:
