ICS update Xperia Arc

Hello,

It's been 8 months since the ICS update for the Xperia Arc would be enrolled in the next FEW weeks.

I'm still waiting. Same goes for the Xperia U of a family member.

I've been reading that it's impossible to say when the update will come for a specific device.

But there are people with an Arc that got the update 8 ******* months ago so if you can't give me a date, give me a decent explanation why you can't say even an approximate date.

I'm not asking for a date I'm asking for an explanation why it's taking so long for some devices.

if your phone is or was network branded it will be up to them to approve and release the update, in some countries its up to the carriers to approve the updates for unlocked phones

The answer in that post says it would take about 4-6 weeks but that was 25 weeks ago...

My phone is not network branded, I just bought it without any strings attached.

In the post you are referring too there is no explanation whatsoever.
